 2018-2019 Season

"The Season of Firsts"

"For a year now, I have been an instructor at this incredible institution of learning for young artists in the Amarillo-Canyon area. I have spent time watching those with more experience than myself, and learning in the shadows. I am so eager to step forward as Program Coordinator - so eager, in fact, that I have decided to embrace all of the changes and excitement by choosing "Firsts" as this season's theme!

This will be my first season to plan, organize, announce, write, design, and even direct in. I can't wait to step up in a more serious way, and I hope you like my contributions to this thriving program.

But this is also our first season without Linda Dee Hughes as a director of a show. She is by my side, guiding and advising me, make no mistake - but the stage will miss her.

This is the first year we will embrace our local community by selecting an outstanding member to direct our holiday show in December.

Lastly, since the opening show of the season is also my first show to direct as Program Coordinator, I have chosen Alice in Wonderland. This was the first show I ever worked on as a student under Stephen Crandall at the ALT Academy. It was the play that made me fall in love with theatre from every direction, and I hope it does the same thing for you.

Please enjoy our season of Firsts!
